Bill and Ann Burke are the owners of Breezy Pointe Subdivision. Bill describes the subdivision as an old-fashioned place. He explains how Breezy Pointe is a close-knit community as many neighbors visit one another frequently. Burke estimated that 90% of these residents are from out of state and have moved to this area to live.
The popular subdivision is a fully private community with its own wells and treatment system. Further developments, which will add to the quality of life for residents, include plans for a sandy beach, club house and meeting room.
The Burkes began developing the area in 1994 on their 155 acres. The land where Breezy Pointe is located was part of the original Basil Giard Claim. Before Iowa became a state Giard claimed the land west of McGregor and running along Bloody Run Creek. HOME
